Main Function & Scope

Based in Edinburgh or Lisbon offices and reporting to the Head of Asset Performance, the Asset Performance Manager is responsible for defining, achieving, and monitoring top quartile performance across the complete portfolio.

Being part of a highly specialized team responsible for developing and monitoring solutions that will optimize assets operation - either improving production, reducing OPEX costs or extending the life of the assets.

Work with all Ventient stakeholders to ensure uniformity and common linked focus to performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Asset Performance Management
      • Management of operational indicators (production, invoicing, availability, and wind resource)
      • Critical analysis of the Wind Farms performance and implementation of measures to optimize Ventient Operations
      • Definition and deployment of tools to monitor and report asset performance
      • Definition and development of reports to support Wind Farms performance analysis
      • Definition and development of Operation and Maintenance tools and methodologies
      • Cross-functional process and data model definition for Asset Management
      • Operational data base strategy definition
      • Working together with ITC to design/specify operations division supporting apps

      2. Performance Improvement

      • Management of programs to evaluate and improve the efficiency of wind farms
      • Underperformance management process
      • Working with innovation working groups from different operational areas
      • Support the Engineering team with the development and implementation of Performance Improvement Initiatives to contribute to the delivery of improved performance.
      • Support the implementation of M&A and organic growth aspirations with repowering, overpowering, and co-location of other forms of generation or energy storage

      3. Stakeholder Management

      • Holding periodical meetings with suppliers and Asset Managers to monitor performance and implementing measures with the aim of optimizing and maximizing the Wind Farms performance
      • Management of external and internal stakeholders
      • Visits to Wind Farms to verify and validate the implementation of Ventient processes
      • Part of the Portuguese Operations Committee

      4. Backoffice Management

      • Supporting internal stakeholders managing the Portuguese
        • operation and maintenance contracts
        • insurance claims
        • energy supply contracts
        • energy sale
        • energy metering, invoicing, and tariff/inflation calculation

      Education & Qualifications


        • Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Relevant experience can compensate for formal qualifications.
        • Driver license
        • Fluency in English (required)


      • Fluency in Portuguese
