Main Function & Scope

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting activities relating to Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems, namely:
    • Processes to identify hazards, evaluation and control of professional and environmental risks;
    • Evaluation of legal compliance;
    • Implementation of emergency procedures;
    • Implementation and maintenance of action plans concerning preventive and corrective activities at wind farms;
    • Revitalisation of the training plan for Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Follow up activities for the operation and maintenance of wind farms as well as related construction/redesign projects;
  • Participation in internal audits of management systems;
  • Supporting the management of the organisation’s safety teams.


QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Essential:

  • Licentiate Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrotechnical Engineering, Mechanics or Industrial Management;
  • CAP Level VI Senior Safety Technician
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Management Systems;

Desirable:

  • Training in internal audits on ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Management Systems
  • Knowledge of English
  • CAP Trainer


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Driving licence for light vehicles
  • Complete availability for travel as required;


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Dynamic, proactive and well organised;
  • Proficient IT skills – Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook;
