As our Talent Acquisition Partner, you will support the business to attract the best talent, working in partnership with our brand to create an engaging attraction strategy for live roles and manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process. You will be a Ventient brand ambassador in everything you do.


Whilst this role is advertised as remote working, we operate an Agile Working policy which allows employees to work flexibly near our office locations in either Edinburgh, London, Alges and Madrid. You must have the right to work in the UK and the European Union.

Key Responsibilities

Every day you will…


  • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships, providing expert data driven insights on all recruitment activities.
  • Provide support, guidance, and coaching to the Ventient Management team to help them maximise their recruitment success and develop their teams, including developing accurate recruitment forecasts and scenario planning
  • Headhunt and source candidates for live vacancies through job boards, LinkedIn, marketing campaigns, and looking at new ways to reach this pool of candidates – you will have a background in Renewable Energy
  • Be a Partner with our Brand & Communications team to design, develop and oversee the appropriate delivery of a Talent strategy
  • Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process and meet targets, KPIs, and performance objectives for yourself and the team
  • With the HR Managers, be a partner with the Business on the organisational design – helping shape the future of Ventient  
  • You will own and manage the full recruitment cycle and process, providing a first-class candidate experience
  • Briefing candidates about job responsibilities, salary and benefits
    • Attending interviews with hiring managers
    • Making verbal offers of employment
    • Completing reference and background checks
  • Leading recruitment campaigns including our internship and graduate schemes
  • Developing innovative ways to attract, build and retain a strong talent pool
  • Liaising with third party suppliers, such as external agencies, job boards, college and university partners, etc.
  • Produce quarterly ‘Hiring Insights’ as part of quarterly Board and Remuneration Committee pack
  • Liaise with the wider HR team on projects, from offers and onboarding to Inductions
  • Attend exhibitions, Careers Fairs at Universities and Colleges to promote employer branding
  • Supporting the HR Managers and wider team in ad-hoc HR projects

    Skills & Knowledge


    • Knowledge of recruitment within a professional services / Engineering environment would be highly advantageous
    • Demonstrable experience of a well-rounded recruitment experience


    • Knowledge of European markets (Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Luxembourg)

    Relevant Experience


    • Experience within the Renewable Energy industry
    • Experience within a recruitment and/or a HR environment
    • Experience with proactively headhunting/direct sourcing candidates

    • Bamboo HR, or use of any similar HRIS (desirable)

    Travel Requirements 

    Travel to Universities, colleges or exhibitions around UK and Europe as required
