Main Function & Scope
The role will work closely with business divisions creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management. The role is responsible for business partnering to provide insightful reporting and business support to key stakeholders.
This role is a fixed term, maternity cover for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering
- Act as a true finance business partner, collaborating with all functions across the business to develop a collaborative working culture with greater engagement across the finance group and wider business
- Business Development: support the operations function with business development activity providing timely support and cost-benefit analysis
- Maintain a high level of performance across the whole group including ensuring full awareness of issues affecting performance and collaboratively determine actions to proactively address any performance issues
- Support and contribute to cost savings initiatives
- Understand business drivers and KPIs and optimize data and analysis across finance teams
- Finance Support
- Ensure budget and forecast information provided as required by FP&A
- Manage and deliver cost base in line with expectation for accountable areas
- Analysis and interpretation of accounting and KPI information for use in management decision-making
- Support distribution process
- Manage and execute intercompany loan strategy
- Support commercial tenders, agreements & contracts
- Support annual insurance renewal activities
- Support finance teams with other operationally linked transactions eg wind hedge and ensure awareness of any operational activities impacting the wider finance function
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Key finance contact for M&A activities
- Support all future ERP implementations for acquisitions & upgrades
- Support M&A integrations across wider finance team
- People Management
- Manage a team of 2 professionals
- Performance development and performance management of direct reports; coach / mentor direct reports to ensure an emphasis on achieving a high performing team
- Improvement Initiatives
- Support the ERP implementation especially relating to reporting outputs
- Support ad-hoc projects with regard to ongoing company strategy and investor requests

Relevant Experience
Essential
- Qualified accountant with minimum 5-7 years' post-qualified experience with experience working in complex growing companies
